How To Plan Your Best Summer Ever!

Planning your summer goals with essential oils.

From as early as I can remember summer was a time of reinvention, a time when you can dream bigger, achieve more, and fulfill your goals. I like to use the beginning of summer to plan all the things I’d like to do and achieve over the next few months.

As much as I love writing lists, just writing lists will not help you achieve your goals. You actually have to go out and do them. So I have written my top tips and tricks to help you achieve your summer goals.

Know What You Want

In order to have your best summer ever, you first need to know what you would like to achieve. My advice is to get a notebook and pen and immediately, without thinking, start writing everything you would like to do. This will prevent you from overthinking the practicality of anything and its achievability.

Figure Out What’s Important

Take a ten-minute break to clear your mind for the next step. During this time, place a few of the below recommend essential oils in a diffuser to set the mood and clear your mind.

Review your list and think about how important each item on your list really is to you. Remove anything that on second thought you don’t really want to do. Remember not to remove anything because it seems impossible or that your scared to do. You should only remove things that don’t inspire you and aren’t things you want to do in life.

Once that is done, rank each item on your list in priority of importance. Then rewrite your list in order of importance.

Get Into Action

Once you have your list of things you’d like to achieve in order of importance, isolate your top five things to do. Your top five things are the things you really want to do now. Everything else can be done using the next steps once you have completed the first five.

Think about each of the top five things you would like to achieve. Then break up each task into bite size steps. So for example if you would like to run a 5k by the end of summer, break down your workout into smaller steps.

A great way to get an idea of how to break up your task is to Google it. Using our previous example, there are a lot of online tools such as Couch2 5k that will help you break down your 5k training into smaller steps.

Take your time with this stage and really think about your plan to achieve each of your top five goals. Then set deadlines for each step to achieving your task on a large calendar.

Wake up each morning, check your calendar, and begin achieving all your goals.

Review and Reminisce

As you start achieving your goals, you will feel a sense of achievement and pride in yourself because you are doing what you set out to do. This is an excellent time to reflect on what you have accomplished. Think about what you have learned while completing each of your goals and how it has changed you.
